Dena received her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Loma Linda University. Dena earned her Bachelor's degree in sociology from California Baptist University.
Dena's 25 years of diverse experience stems from servicing groups across all lifespans, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Dena has worked with older adults living in an independent setting. Dena provided services to assist in maintaining their independence by offering resources and referrals to older adults experiencing loneliness, isolation, grief, loss, and those seeking fulfillment. As a former Social Work Case Manager and Educator, Dena provided services to children in foster care, primarily working to transition children to adoptive care and a stable home environment. As an educator, she offered parenting classes and early childhood education to assist parents and children in developing skills to navigate life's obstacles and challenges. And as a medical social worker, she's helped veterans cope with PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression.
Her specialties include stress management, anxiety, family conflicts, self-esteem, and coping with life changes, focusing on cognitive-behavioral intervention.
Dena is a devout Christian, wife, and mother of 4 adult children. She understands the demands of daily life with family and work-life stressors. She continuously practices dominating and taking authority over every circumstance and situation a day presents.
As an ordained minister and music director for over 20 years, she is passionate about seeing people's lives flourish. Her goal is to help you develop balance as you juggle the demands of life and empower you to live a life of wholeness and wellness in every area and aspect of life. With support, everyone is capable of transforming their circumstance into success.
