Mr. Isiah Green is a clinical psychologist specializing in counseling teens, young adults, men, and women.
He is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. He spent 8 years serving as a member of the United States Navy, 4 of which were spent working as a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate for members and family of the armed services.
Mr. Green holds his pre-registration license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. He pursued his undergraduate studies earning his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of La Verne. Mr. Green trained in the Student Psychological Services Department at Chapman University working primarily with adult students and their families. Mr. Green earned certifications in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Intervention and Treatment, Suicide Assessment, and Intervention and Treatment. He works with individuals with depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, anxiety, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
Mr. Green is well versed in various therapeutic methods and styles when working with children, adults, families, and veterans, and is dedicated to helping you find the method that works best and will help guide you through your therapeutic journey. As a veteran himself, he is also dedicated to providing a welcoming and safe space for you to feel uplifted and supported.
Mr. Green’s therapeutic approaches include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – focuses on challenging and changing negative thoughts and behaviors.
- Narrative Therapy - utilizes the art of storytelling via verbal, written, poem, music that identifies the patient’s values and skills empowering you with the ability to live such values and effectively confront past, current, and future traumas/problems.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) – focuses on actively working toward solutions by helping you identify what you do well, encouraging you to identify your strengths in order to reach your goals. SFBT is a short-term form of counseling which can potentially be less costly and time-consuming compared to long-term therapy.
