Happy National Men’s Health Week! This week, during this month, recognizes that self-care and holistic wellness is vital in any man’s life year-round. June recognizes National Men’s Health Month and Father’s Day to elevate the strong importance of a Man’s well-being and presence in others lives. Times are busy and hectic, so it becomes easy to neglect the essential needs to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle. This week should plant the seed that daily practice of health and wellness is significant to benefiting from the qualities of life.
According to the Men’s Health Organization, the purpose of Men’s Health Month is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. This month gives health care providers, public policy makers, the media, and individuals an opportunity to encourage men and boys to seek regular medical advice and early treatment for disease and injury.
How can we help? It is understood that in order to promote physical, mental, and spiritual health in men and boys, there must be psychoeducation regarding the intensity and frequency of symptomology as it occurs to the individual, exemplify the importance of care and treatment planning, as well as guidance and support to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Take all necessary steps to live an abundant and meaningful life.
