Exercising  Your Mental Health

“Exercise not only changes your body, it changes your mind, your attitude and your mood “

Exercise can Improve Mental Health

With American National Nutrition month coming to an end have you taken the time to incorporate more physical activity into you daily regimen? Exercise has many benefits for not only your physical health but also your mental health. Exercise can actually improve your mood by releasing  chemicals like endorphins and serotonin that can make you feel happier.

Regular exercise can reduce stress, improve sleep, increase memory and concentration, reduces the risk of preexisting health conditions like anxiety and depression and build self-esteem.

It recommended that adults do at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. Finding an exercise regimen that fits your lifestyle and interest can make a difference in your physical and mental well-being. Joining a local gym, walking your dog or having a dance party in your own home can be the steps needed to incorporate more positive  physical activities into your life. Fall in love with taking care of your body and your mind.
