Patricia Jones is a ambitious driven clinical social worker, 97446, under the supervision of Dr. Yvonne Jackson, LMFT92389. She is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Master’s Degree in Social work. She is also a certified Domestic violence counselor and Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor III (Bii00510621).
Mrs. Jones holds her pre-registration license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Mrs. Jones received additional training from Argosy University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in Substance abuse. Mrs. Jones has trained at an intensive outpatient program working primarily with children , adolescents, adults and their families . She has experiences working with individuals with acute trauma, depression, bullying, anxiety, family conflict, anger management, domestic violence, grounding and coping techniques, and substances abuse.
Mrs. Jones is a devoted therapist specializes in counseling children, to young adults, women and men. She has a committed interest in working with the homeless population, and veterans, Her purpose is to provide you with a non- judgmental , encouraging space to help you feel rejuvenated, empowered and supported throughout your therapy journey; Her strengths-based practices include, but not limited to: utilizing cognitive behaviors therapy to assist her clients in identifying their automatic negative thoughts, emotions, and actions, and Dialectic behavioral therapy, utilizing skills to help her clients use mindfulness, tolerate distress, emotionally regulate, and improve interpersonal effectiveness, In addition she utilizes Internal family systems (IFS) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) She is deeply passionate about sociocultural and historical influences on the family as well as the impact of power and privilege on relational dynamics.
